Coach Jason White
Freshman Coach
Coach Jason White enters his eightth season of coaching high school basketball, his third as the MHS Freshman coach. Jason started his coaching career at Ravenswood High School as the assistant varsity coach. While an assistant at Ravenswood he helped lead the team to an 88 and 14 record over four seasons. The highlight of his coaching career came in 2006 as the Red Devils defeated Bluefield 51 to 43 to win the AA State Championship. White departed Ravenswood after four seasons when he relocated to Morgantown in the summer of 2007, and attained a teaching job at Preston County High School. White served as the Knights Junior Varsity coach and assistant Varsity coach for one season, as the Knights racked up an 18-6 record and a birth in the West Virginia State Basketball Tournament.
White currently is in his fifth year with Monongalia County Schools, teaching seventh grade science at South Middle School. He received his undergraduate degree in secondary education from Marshall University in the fall of 2002. In the summer White tours the East Coast working as many basketball camps and clinics as possible.
