DENNY CROUSO
Freshman Coach
Coach Crouso’s first year of coaching basketball at Morgantown High School freshman team resulted in an undefeated (16-0) season. Coach brings several years of basketball experience with him. He coached basketball at Buckhannon-Upshur High School for 13 years. He was the varsity boys’ basketball coach for 9 years (1997 2006). Coach Crouso was selected as the N.C.A.C. Coach of the Year two times (1998-99 and 2004-05) and the Inter-Mountain All Sports Coach of the Year (2004-05). Coach Crouso took the B-U Boys’ Basketball team to the state playoffs for the first time in twenty-five years in 2005.
Coach Crouso is a graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School, where he was voted first team All-N.C.A.C. Conference twice in basketball. After graduation, Coach Crouso played basketball at West Virginia Wesleyan College, and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education. He is currently completing his last requirement for his master’s degree in Educational Leadership at West Virginia University. Coach Crouso is in his second year of teaching Social Studies at Morgantown High School, where is also the chairman of the department.
Denny and his wife, Christal, live in Fairmont and are the parents of two sons Jacob, age 10, and Jackson, age 1.
